2: Jesus is betrayed
Judas Iscariot agrees to betray Jesus on behalf of the chief priests, in exchange for the famous 'thirty pieces of silver' which we hear clinking into Judas's eager hands.

“A crowd came, with Judas, one of the twelve, leading them. He approached to kiss Jesus and Jesus said, 'Judas, is it with a kiss that you betray the Son of Man?' Then Jesus said to the chief priests, the temple police and elders who had come for him, 'Have you come out with swords and clubs as if I were a bandit? When I was with you day after day in the temple, you did not lay hands on me. But this is your hour, and the power of darkness!'”
Luke 22:47-53
Judas, one of Jesus' disciples, his closest friends; betrays Jesus, kissing him to identify who the soldiers should seize. Jesus is placed under armed arrest and led away to trial.
