4: Peter denies Jesus
It's early, and already Peter denies any involvement with Jesus; the cock crows again and again, each time reminding a guilty Peter of his denial of his friend.

“They seized Jesus and brought him to the high priest's house. Peter followed at a distance and sat with those around a fire in the middle of the courtyard... a servant-girl, seeing him in the firelight, stared and said, 'This man also was with him.' He denied it, saying, 'Woman, I do not know him.' Later someone else said, 'You also are one of them.' Peter said, 'Man, I am not!' About an hour later yet another insisted, 'Surely this man was with him; he is a Galilean.' Peter said, 'I don't know what you are talking about!' At that moment, the cock crowed.”
Luke 23:54-62
Peter would never have believed that he could betray Jesus; but he just has...
