3: Jesus condemned by the Sanhedrin

Unsure perhaps after all what to do with Jesus, the court of elders and high priests furtively murmur and argue in muttered whispers as he stands before them in silence.

Jesus condemned by the Sanhedrin

When day came, the assembly of elders, chief priests and scribes, gathered and brought him to their council. They said, 'If you are the Messiah, tell us.' He replied, '...from now on the Son of Man will be seated at God's right hand.' They asked, 'Are you the Son of God?' He said, 'You say that I am.' Then they said, 'What further testimony do we need?'
Luke 22:66-71

The High Priest's court (the 'Sanhedrin') finds Jesus guilty of blasphemy because they understand that he claims to be the Son of God; they don't believe him, they can't, as it undermines their faith and power.
